Schweitzer’s attacks on EPA are counterproductive; his political grandstanding is slowing the cleanup. The governor’s decision to pull out of the joint spill command center in favor of an independent state-run effort ensures needless duplication and redundancy, and it creates confusion both on the ground and in the media.
